Project Description
Artesa Winery is deeply rooted in continent-crossing history, with its’ owners having come from Spain’s oldest winemaking family with an interest in continuing their wine-making legacy with the the next generation of wine to be grown in the prosperous Napa Valley. The winery fosters nature-inspired doctrines with its integration of Spanish heritages and Mediterranean themes with water exhibits and exquisite art.
When it came time to design the tasting room bar, it’s no surprise the owners wanted to fully utilize their Barcelona family heritage and brand into every component, including the tile. The winery logo, the A icon, was customized in collaboration with the Pinar Miro studio in Barcelona, working closely with them in the selection of patterns and colors using only natural pigments and hand made in the same method as the 19th century tiles. The result is a unique custom tile that veneers the vertical walls of the bar. The A icon was also manipulated to create a circular layout with a more geometric contemporary design for larger gatherings just as the owner’s family would do at home.
Love the look of this bar!
