A reminder that today is the deadline for completing the initial submittal forms for the Napa Sonoma ADU Standard Plans Program.
Thanks to everyone who has already submitted — we really appreciate your participation and the great work you are doing!
Following submittal of the form, you will receive an email with a link to a drive for uploading your materials. You have until Friday, 9/10 to upload. After that our selection committee will review the info and make selections for pre-approvals (we are aiming for end September). Selected designs will then submit full plan sets for code review and for being featured on the program’s webpage.

We are excited to announce the launch of the Napa Sonoma ADU Standard Plans program.
The attached Call for Submittals details the program’s design, process, requirements and FAQs. Initial submittals are due by August 31, 2021.
The first step towards submitting is to complete this Initial Submittal Form (link is also in the attached Call for Submittals). We will then follow up with an email providing a link for uploading pdfs of floor plans, sections, elevations and 3D views (or photos).
Full plan sets will only be required after review and selection by a committee of jurisdiction staff from across Napa and Sonoma counties.
You can submit ADU plans for projects you’ve already completed, or develop new ones that you feel best respond to the program criteria. Plans for modular and pre-fabricated products may also be submitted.
This is one of the first multi-jurisdiction programs of its kind in the country. We are excited to help connect you with homeowners from across the two-county area and help build a thriving ADU industry in our region.
