Congrats 2020 Grads!

Message from AIA National – Let’s congratulate our 2020 Grads!

I hope that this message finds you safe and healthy during this uncertain time. Thank you for all the feedback and information you’ve shared through the pandemic. You’ve helped us tremendously as we develop resources and support for our members.

I am writing today to invite you to join an AIA social media campaign to support and celebrate 2020 architecture graduates. We are asking you to record a short video (60 seconds or less) congratulating and welcoming the new graduates to the profession, offering advice and insight you’ve learned along the way, and any brief relevant anecdotes and wisdom you’re willing to share. Post your message to your preferred social channel — Twitter, LinkedIn, or Instagram — using #ArchGrad20 and tag @aianational.

Graduates have had an unprecedented thesis semester ending in virtual graduation ceremonies, and face a tough road ahead as they begin their careers. But they are not alone. They are joining a close community of professionals, and we have a responsibility to support them and help them succeed. AIA is working to create a social media groundswell of encouragement for the newest members of our profession.

Please join us.

The campaign began today, and you can find Robert Ivy’s video on social media (TwitterInstagram, and LinkedIn) with the hashtag #ArchGrad20. Jane Frederick has also shared her words of wisdom on twitter.

If you have questions, please email me here or reach out on Slack.

Thank you and best regards,

Jonathan
