Professional Development Lunch – Board Officers + Santa Rosa’s Chief Building Official – 2 LU/HSW

Help us kick off the monthly lunch + learn 2.0 meetings with your AIARE Executive Committee officers and featured guest speaker Chief Building Official with the City of Santa Rosa to ring in the new year!

Please welcome Jesse Oswald, our local SR Building Dept. expert on the new code who will share much relevant information for our region and chapter regarding CA Building Code compliance. Q + A to follow.

Jesse Oswald brings over 14 years of city government experience to the role as Chief Building Official, including serving as Permit Intake Manager for the City of Santa Rosa. He previously worked as Acting Chief Building Official and held various fire and building inspector roles for the City of Merced prior to joining Santa Rosa in 2013. 
A Desert Shield and Desert Storm veteran, Oswald served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years as a crew chief KC-135 refueler. Oswald received his Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University, a Bachelor’s of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University, and two Associates degrees from Merced College in University Studies and Industrial Maintenance. He holds multiple designations from the International Code Council, of which he is a member, including Certified Building Official, Building Code Official, Building Plans Examiner, Residential Building Inspector, Commercial Building Inspector, and Building Code Specialist.

In addition to our featured guest speaker, we welcome Madame President Mary Dooley, President Elect Doug Hilberman, Secretary / newly licensed Architect Sean Taber, Treasurer Juliano Sorondo who will briefly share their experience of the strength and resiliency of our chapter, the vision of our Board of Directors and how we feel our chapter will lead us into 2020 and beyond.
